One in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. That’s a daunting number. How can we contribute to research and help change that rate in the future? It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and food businesses have come up with creative ways to help customers contribute to the cause.
Seasons 52, a restaurant with locations all around the D.C./Maryland/Virginia area is doing just that by offering a special pink deviled eggs appetizer, with $1 from every order placed in October benefiting the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
They achieve the vibrant pink color by resting pasture-raised eggs in a fresh beet marinade – which also made them delicious (a skill I have not tried myself, yet!). I had the opportunity to taste them at Seasons 52’s location in North Bethesda, Maryland.
I’m really excited about this egg-themed promotion for a great cause. I hope you’ll seek out the Seasons 52 nearest you so you can contribute, too!
